Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

■ Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of this arrangement is to prescribe the matters concerning the terms and conditions as well as the procedures of accessing and using the website of the Annual Scientific Meeting of Korean Society of Cardiology.

■ Article 2 (Effect and Modification of Arrangement)

① For any member, this arrangement shall become effective at the time when he/she expresses his/her consent to the terms and conditions of this arrangement.
② The Korean Society of Cardiology may, if deemed necessary, modify any provisons of this arrangement, which shall take effect to the members as mentioned in Clause 1.

■ Article 3 (Applicable Rules Other Than Arrangement)

Such matters as not prescribed by this arrangement shall be governed by the general rules of law such as Enforcement Decree of the Framework Act on Telecommunications, Enforcement Decree of the Telecommunications Business Act and other related laws.

■ Article 4 (Scope of Member)

① The term "member" means a person who makes an agreement on the use of the Services with the Korean Society of Cardiology.
② Other matters not mentioned are based on the general standard of membership registration.

■ Article 5 (Obligation of Member)

① A member shall comply with this arrangement and the guidances and notices, etc.
② It shall not be permitted that a member involves any of the following acts:
- 1. Impairing the honor or infringe the rights of others without a valid reason
- 2. Acting detrimental to the public order or morals
- 3. Transferring, assigning or mortgaging any right or duty in relation to the use of this website.
- 4. Any behavior threatening national security or be associated with a crime
- 5. Any behavior violating the rules stated in this agreement
- 6. Other acts of violating the related rules and subordinate statutes of Korea.

■ Article 6 (Restriction of Membership)

In the event that a user commits any of the following acts, The Korean Society of Cardiology may block or interrupt the use of the services, without being required to give prior notice to the user:

① In case of violation of the duty of the members under Article 5
② In case of publishing or linking illegal adult and pornography on message boards
③ In case of publishing or linking materials that violates the copyright and its neighboring copyright.
④ In case of the false information is provided when registering as a member of the website
⑤ In case publishing commercial advertisement without the consent of The Korean Society of Cardiology.

■ Article 7 (Copyright of Contents)

① Copyrights of the contents on the website shall lie with the Publisher of the post.
② The Publisher of the contents is responsible for all legal matters associated with the contents.

■ Article 8 (Modification and Addition of Arrangement)

If deemed necessary, the contents of this website can be added, changed, or deleted by The Korean Society of Cardiology. The changes will be notified to the members at the website or by other means.

■ Article 9 (Obligation of the Society)

The Society shall not divulge or distribute the members' personal information to others or use it for commercial purposes without their consent.
However, if there is a request from the concerned agencies based on the related statutes, the request can be answered after discussion with the committee.

■ Article 10 (Management of the Website)

① The Publisher of the content is responsible for posting, changing, and deleting.
② The Publisher of the content is responsible for maintaining (backing up) the original and copy of the post as it relates to the loss of its contents.
③ If the content is considered that it negatively affects the operation of this site, the Society can advise the publisher of the contents to correct or block access to the publisher of the contents. In this case, upon access interruption, the publisher of the contents should be informed of the blocking.

■ Article 11 (Compensation for Damage and Exemption)

① The Society shall not be liable for any damage to a member caused by the provision of the Services itself.
② If it is impossible for the Society to provide the Services due to any natural disaster or force majeure equivalent, it shall be exempted from all the liabilities related to the provision of the Services.
③ The Society is not responsible for paying compensation for any damages that may arise due to the suspension of the website operation.
③ The Society shall not be liable for any difficulty in the use of the Services which is attributable to the relevant member.
④ The Society is not responsible for any failure in the operation of this site due to reasons attributable to the members and the damages to the Society shall be compensated by the respective member.
⑤The Society is not responsible for the reliability or accuracy of the materials provided, published or transmitted.

I AGREE

■ Purposes of Collection and Use of Personal Information: The reason why the Korean Society of Cardiology collects personal information from members and the purposes of use of such personal information are to provide optimal service to members through the website. Personal information provided by members enables the Korean Society of Cardiology to provide members with more useful information.
■ Scope of Collection: ‘Personal Information’: The following information is basically included in the scope of the personal information collected by the Korean Society of Cardiology:
- Nationality, Name, Email address(ID), Password, Affiliation, Mobile phone number, and etc.
■ Period of Holding and Use of Personal Information: The personal information that a member provides to the Korean Society of Cardiology shall be used for providing services from the date of registration until the date of deregistration and shall be destroyed immediately when a member is expelled.
When a member terminates the use agreement and deletes his/her account, the personal information will be deleted.
